It’s strawberry season and it’s lots of fun to go strawberry picking at a local farm. If I haven’t gobbled down all the berries I pick before I get home….this is my favorite thing to do with them!

Chocolate Dipped Strawberries

1 quart of large ripe strawberries
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 Tablespoon butter
3 Tablespoons milk

Place chocolate chips In a double boiler over simmering water. Add butter and stir. Add milk and keep stirrinmg until chocolate is melted and mixture is creamy and smooth. Remove from heat. Hold strawberries by their leaves or stem and dip in chocolate to cover about 2/3 of the way up. Place on a large plate or platter. Refidgerate  about 1/2 an hour to harden chocolate (that is…if you can wait that long).
