We’re celebrating the new Newburyport Farmers Market, Father’s Day, and the Solstice, by having an informal gathering of folks interested in Slow Food/Local Food. Its going to be a fun little picnic on the grass behind the Firehouse this Sunday June 21st. We’ll be there from 4:00 pm till the stars come out. In fact look for the ’stars’ baloons.
Please come if you can, for mingling and meeting with local food enthusiasts and enjoying an old fashioned Sunday afternoon picnic. Bring a blanket or chairs, maybe some goodies from the Farmers Market as part of your picnic fare…… and if you play guitar or violin [or bongos even], please bring them along.
Enjoying good local food with friends and family in a leisurely way is a part of the Slow Food approach to life we are encouraging. What better way to start than this Sunday on the grass behind the Firehouse. Bring the kids, invite or tweet your friends, or come and meet some new ones. Wide brimed sun hats, parasols, and cool shades encouraged!
