Unity College in Maine is a leader in environmental learning and has a tag line “America’s Environmental College”. With a hands on approach that takes students out in the fields and forests to study, thay have become a little gem of a school in its short history. It was formed in 1965 by some local businessmen of Unity who had faith in their community and saw the great natural assets of their area. They offer a course ‘Environmental Citizen and local Food” Maybe we can get them talking to LFN sometime.
