There was some free food at the Farmers Market today, thanks to Not Your Average Joe’s  restaurant. I was happy and surprised to see NYAJ’s at the Farmers Market today as tons of folks scooped up their free salad sampler of local tomato, arugula, mozzarella and balsamic syrup [awesome!]…and wait, wait….free strawberry, blueberry whipped cream  sampler puff with local berries! Better than the free food is the welcome news that they will be buying and serving lots of local produce whenever they can….and LFN likes that! Thanks to Chef Michael Fraser, and GM Bruce Jangro from LFN. And thanks to Heron Pond Farm source of  tomatoes, and Applecrest for the blueberries I ate this morning.

Also a special thanks to Janice and David I., who have been to every Farmers Market so far. They moved here from the North End of Boston 3 years ago and told me about the great yogurt fed veal cutlets from Kellie Brook Farm one of the FM’s vendors. And, they are looking to find a good source of wild mushrooms for any of you foragers out there!
