Farmer’s Market Extending The Season With ‘Warm and Cozy’ Plans

Tannery_logo234LFN was really happy to read confirmation of the great buzz we’ve been hearing about the Newburyport Farmers Market winter plans. Here’s a bit of the story from today’s Newburyport Daily News  Newburyport owes a great big ‘thank you’ to organizer Shari Wilkinson and Tannery honcho David Hall…merci bien!!

….”But they will be under an enclosed tent, with heat lamps providing warmth. Inside the Tannery, there will be more prepared food vendors offering savory and sweet goodies as well as an increasing number of artisans selling their hand-crafted creations and holiday gifts. The fall market will also feature wool-spinning demonstrations, needle felting and hand-dyed wool items crafted by Riverslea Farm in Epping, N.H. Cooking demonstrations are also in the works.

The newest addition to the mix will be The Market Lounge, which will take over a vacant spot inside The Tannery below Riverside Cycle. Offering a place for people to warm up, there will be tables and chairs dotting the space, paintings by Newburyport’s Alan Bull and other artists adorning the walls, and area bands adding some live music.”
