We were visiting friends in the Hudson Valley this past week for a few days and had a chance to tour the Culinary Institute of Americain Hyde Park, NY. Its right next door to Poughkeepsie NY and the campus of Marist College and has spectacular views of the Hudson. As you can see from our little note above, the Local Food Network of greater Newburyport is planning some changes. When we ran our on line poll and sought others opinions about the LFN we learned some interesting and valuable tidbits. So we’re going to be responding to those suggestions . The Newburyport Daily News has a nice story today about 3 local painters who go up to Maine to paint out doors. Where and how food is grown makes a huge difference to our economy and our environment. What ever food we can grow locally is just that much less industrial polution created on mega farms and factories. Of course rabbit is popular in other countries and is a very popular meat in Italy and France as well.
