Newburyport’s Rail Trail Looking Good! … Perhaps A Permaculture Possibility?

The new Rail Trail in Newburyport which runs from the Merrimack River’s edge near Michael’s and Mr. India in a straight line over, under and through Newburyport to the Train Station is really looking good. There are new beautiful granite stairs at the bottom of Strong Street, some nice looking ones on the north side of [...]

Free Vitamin C and Tea … Beach Rose Hips … One Of Charlotte’s Wild Foods

Charlotte D. is a local ‘permaculturalist’ who knows all about cultivating plants that are perennial food sources. She has recently written about Roses on the Transition Massachusetts web site.

So, could we start Maple Syrup Co-op here in Newburyport?  Volunteers collect sap from trees on their land [...]

Last week we had a post about the new permanent garden that was planted in Newbury at the New Eden Collaborative behind the First Parish Church on High Rd in Newbury. This garden, following ‘permaculture’ concepts is composed of perennial plants which have been chosen to work well together, not over compete and [...]
